FINDING FANNY
FINDING FANNY: is different! it is not a regular Bollywood movie and is definitely very very hatke:) what makes this simple story watchable is awesome acting.... super funny sequence and the relaxed yet gripping tale. I loved it. it is like sitting on a secluded beach with a bottle of wine and just feeling happy... just like this may not appeal to many, finding fanny is also for people who can see beyond masala mix. the story is not about the destination , but about the journey...and how we discover peace and happiness along the journey of life. So sit back and enjoy the ride, laugh your heart out and I am sure you will leave the theatre with a smile. its worth a watch:) cheers! ( btw, even though my Ranveer Singh was on screen for exactly 10 sec..he is sooooo cute) ***** ohh feeennnyyyy reeeee****
DAWAT E ISHQ
DAWAT E ISHQ-
Is a 'FUN WATCH'...but the intellectual cells in my brain has a problem accepting a few things. Lets start with what is good about the movie- I think Parineeti and Aditya look very cute together and have acted aikdum natural. There are moments when i found everything very sweet..romantic (but my eyes were dry :P) I could also connect to the struggle some of us go through to find a boy- who speaks well! I mean that is the least we can ask for! But I guess the movie had a different agenda- that love sees beyond education ...looks etc etc, as long as the person is good and has a heart- full of love, to offer for the whole janam and may be more janams to follow!- now that is where I turned to my best friend and we both shared a blank look. You can contradict me, but honestly I don't agree to that. May be if the movie actually shaped the whole love thing better, I would have fallen for it..ki chalo okay they shared some good moments, and had similar interests or something as a base for marriage- I would have been convinced, But- NO!! everything was like a 'JHAT-PAT' affair. it almost felt like, the makers were in a hurry. The other morally difficult situation was, the dowry thing- which they term as help. So before marriage/after marriage when the help is asked by the guy, it is dowry and an offence.. but when the marriage happened and the girl set up her business, I wonder who funded for it? The guy I suppose.. so after marriage the 'help' becomes responsibility?! and the guy is expected to help.. I can go on .. but coming back to the movie bit, I feel it has quite a few fun moments and the hyderabadi accent is addictive. ITNA KHAANA BHOOKICH LAG GI MERKOO...:) yummm... i wish i could add a little different flavor to the DAWAT.. but edible ... 3/5 for this one.

QUEEN
So I watched Queen today!
Its real…something that most of us would relate to. It’s a happy movie which stays in the mind and brings a smile whenever u think about it. Queen is a journey of a woman who doesn’t run away from her pain, but finds a way to accept it…and that’s beautiful. I don’t know when the journey became my own..
Yes, from the first few minutes of the movie, there was a sense of cuteness, real emotions- may be because of the crisp story telling, or just by the feel- no make up, wavy hair, slight pimples- just how most of look on all normal days.. As the story progresses, we connect with Rani- be it her extreme sadness, her simplicity in getting up in the morning after crying all night and finding a laddoo and eating it- now that’s real.
Her journey- also shows the transformation from a girl who is scared to cross the road to someone who dares to fight a “jebkatra”. innocently she just makes her presence felt- u love every bit of queen. She hesitates, but doesnt stop- she doesn’t know the language, she manages.. she finds happiness and moves ahead! Lives her dream…even if it means to do it alone!
Some heart touching moments- finding a family with strangers, dancing on bollywood numbers(which putting her sweater in her purse), golgappe , the lizard…the final break up and how she gains confidence…
Throughout the movie, I was either clapping or marooning seeti or saying how cute!
Kangna is brilliant. She is probably the only person who could have pulled off this character. Everything is great about the movie- the songs, the direction, the acting, the story telling and even the ending. Its fresh and real and we all have a ‘queen ‘ in us. We just have to find her, respect her and love her…
Happy women’s day indeed! This is a treat – by far the cutest movie I have seen in the longest time..
I am going with a 5/5 for this one!
Feel like a queen and treat yourself like one-duniya gayi tel lene!
